The Clinton County Board of Education is seeking an outstanding innovative educational leader for its next Superintendent. This individual should continue the current momentum of the district through leadership that oversees continuing improvement of student achievement, be familiar with current statewide initiatives and possess strong communication skills. Clinton County is located near beautiful Dale Hollow and scenic Lake Cumberland in South Central Kentucky, with Albany the county seat. Additionally, the successful candidate should possess administrative experience that includes demonstrated leadership involving all segments of the community and must be eligible for a Kentucky superintendent’s certification to apply. Beginning date is July 1, 2012. Salary will be competitive with districts of similar size.

The Dawson Springs Independent School District is seeking an individual with effective leadership qualities to take a hands-on approach to leading its student-centered school district. This individual must be an active listener who is focused on meeting the needs of each school. The successful candidate will possess superior people skills and, through their words and actions, demonstrate character and competence by being trustworthy, caring, dependable, and well informed on the issues that face small school districts in the state of Kentucky. Contract to start July 1, 2012.

Dawson Springs is located in Hopkins County and lies in western Kentucky’s Pennyroyal Region. The city is located 161 miles southwest of Louisville and 100 miles northwest of Nashville. Dawson Springs has a population of approximately 3,200 residents. The school district includes an elementary school (PS-6) with an enrollment of 400 students and a high school (7-12) of 310 students. Total district enrollment is approximately 710 students in grades PS-12. The district operates on an annual budget of 6.5 million dollars.
