The Bell County Board of Education is seeking an outstanding educational leader with administrative experience who can create an atmosphere of high expectations and lead the district to reaching these expectations. Candidates should have a proven record of improving student achievement and have current knowledge of trends in Kentucky education. Additionally, candidates should also possess experience with budgeting and have a proven record of fiscally sound decision making. The salary starting for the new contract on July 1, 2012, is negotiable. Bell County located in southeastern Kentucky and bordering both Tennessee and Virginia is home to Pine Mountain State Park and Cumberland Gap National Park.

This individual should continue the current momentum of the district through leadership that oversees continuing improvement of student achievement, be familiar with current statewide initiatives and possess strong communication skills. Clinton County is located near beautiful Dale Hollow and scenic Lake Cumberland in South Central Kentucky, with Albany the county seat.
