| Other Info | This is a four day conference (6/14 - 6/17) at Erlanger, Kentucky. Keynote speakers, four general sessions and six break out sessions will be of interest to SROs, DARE Officers, Crime Prevention Officers and school administrators alike. Dare officers will receive their mandatory training on the last day. Some of the topics offered include: –Beyond the Basics - How to Expand Your Rights and Powers Within the School Zone (KLEC credit is pending for this 8 hour session) –Cyberstalking/Predators –What is New with the National Crime Prevention Coalition –The Use of Canines in Schools –Prescription Drug Use –Sexting/Texting –Alcohol Prevention and Local Resources –Securing Your School on a Budget –Vending Machine Theft Within a School Please note: Opening session will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010. Also, only DARE mandatory sessions will be offered on Thursday, June 17, 2010. EILA Credit will be offered for school personnel Registration deadline is May 21, 2010 |
